Barmaids
Blues
We gazed upon the falling stars,
and then we went and hit the bars.
To have a beer and reminisce,
of grand salutes and barmaids kissed.
To toast the Roman candles,
the winds their spirits pierce.
To boast about the mine fields,
of energy so fierce.
We danced the light fantastic,
and spun like magic wheels.
And when the last star flickered out,
We went to Denny's for a meal.
