What Could
Have Been
I could have been a cowboy.
But my heart and soul,
it rides across the sky.
I could have been a gypsy.
But the deck I spread,
is filled with fiery stars.
I could have been a dancer,
But the only waltz I know,
spreads glitter in the wind.
I could have been a captain.
But when my ship comes in,
the sail is fire across the sky.
I could have joined the circus.
Instead the rings are in the sky,
and I fill the air with magic.
